SLMBC Wins National
BCF Star Award

The St. Louis Minority Business Council (SLMBC) was the only recipient among 39 councils to receive the Business Consortium Fund (BCF) Star Award at the recent National Minority Supplier Development Council conference in Chicago. The BCF provides access to capital and financial services to minority businesses including loan guarantees and financing to certified MBEs up to $750,000.

The BCF recognized the SLMBC for its innovative program development and integration of BCF services into the Council's existing loan programs. The Council exposes members and affiliates to the benefits of the BCF and also acts as an information resource to MBEs on financial issues such as cash flow, financing options and financial management. The bottom line: the SLBMC has found innovative ways to make funding and financial services available for qualified MBEs.

For more information about MBE financial services, call Larry Dill at the SLMBC,
